Our incredible team of fundraising chefs fed 106 people with a delicious takeaway dinner last Friday night. They raised £925 for Mach Corona Solidarity Fund, which will all go to funding small grants of up to £100 to individuals in the Machynlleth area facing hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The meal included lentil, spinach and aubergine stew, chickpea and vegetable koftas and cardamon and coffee brownies. “Absolutely delicious!” said Ant, a customer and supporter of the takeaway.
The volunteers used the kitchen at the Braich Goch in Corris, which has been running a food justice project throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Dioch yn fawr iawn to the Braich Goch team for making their kitchen available to Mach Solidarity Fund volunteers.
